Dizziness can be frustrating, confusing, and scary. Vertigo affects more than balance, it impacts confidence, independence, and daily life. Daily activities can suddenly feel difficult. The good news is that many forms of vertigo respond very well to physical therapy. At IdealFit Physical Therapy, we help people understand the cause of their dizziness and create a plan to help them feel steady and confident again.
Vertigo is the sensation of spinning or swaying and can occur for a variety of reasons. A common condition that causes vertigo is benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV). BPPV occurs when small crystals in the inner ear move out of place and leads to dizziness with head movements. So unpleasant!
Physical therapy can help eliminate the symptoms of BPPV by using repositioning maneuvers to put the inner ear crystals back where they belong. These maneuvers are very effective!
At IdealFit, we help you eliminate vertigo symptoms so you can move with comfort and confidence. If vertigo symptoms are interrupting your daily life, it may be time to reach out for help. To learn more about how we treat vertigo click here, and to schedule an evaluation, click here.
