Our “Out of Network” Decision

It’s been a while since we addressed the topic of how our clinic is structured and why we choose to operate this way. So I figured now was a good time to reintroduce IdealFit, our methods, and why we choose to work the way we do.

There are a lot of characteristics about IdealFit that make us standout. The one on one care, the highly personalized plans of care, and the increased touch points between visits are just a few. Our clients enjoy these perks of working with us. The biggest difference that seems to be the least understood is that we are out of network with all insurances. This means when clients see us, they pay out of pocket for their care. We do not bill any insurance in the office.

However, that doesn’t mean that if you work with us you can’t use your insurance. We provide you with a superbill for each paid visit that can be submitted to your insurance for reimbursement directly to you. Many of our clients use this option.

The big question is often why we choose not to accept insurance. The answer is because it allows us to use treatments we think are best and spend the amount of time we desire with our patients. It also allows us to keep our visits one on one. We’ve all experienced therapy in “mills” (crank them in, crank them out). I’ve worked in one. The client comes into therapy, they spend 5 minutes talking to the actual therapist, and then they are herded over to a small group “doing exercises” and being “supervised” by a staff member. The truth is fewer people get better this way.

We operate as an out of network clinic because we wish to be the opposite of places like that. My goal is to get you better, not to operate within the confines that insurance allows.

So if you are looking for a therapy experience that is different, give us a call to see if you could be a good fit!
