Physical Therapy the IdealFit Way

A friend of mine recently said “ I don’t think what you do should fall under the umbrella of PT. It should be called something different. I took that as the highest compliment she could have given me about my work.

If you’ve been to IdealFit, you know it is different. My number one goal is for IdealFit to be everything that generic PT isn’t. So every decision we make is in an effort to make sure we are always different.

Hour long appointments ensure that we have adequate time to cover all we need to. I’ve worked in facilities that allow for a lot less time with patients and I hate leaving appointments feeling like I’ve not been able to ask questions, treat, and explain adequately. When it comes to outcomes, it makes a difference. Creating a relationship with one therapist who sees you and knows you and understands your problem is a must. Who you see from visit to visit isn’t determined by what is convenient for us, but by what will be the best for you. Access to your therapist between appointments to answer questions about pain or exercises is high in priority as well. If your pain changes or you are confused about your homework, we don’t want you to wait until your next appointment to get answers. We want to hear from you before. Maybe most importantly, we want to treat you holistically. We are not only addressing the symptom that brought you in, we want to equip you with the tools to be a better and more resilient human.

Operating this way means we aren’t a good fit for everyone. If you are looking to participate in therapy to check a box for medication or imaging approval, we aren’t for you. But if you are wanting to be an active participant in your healing, we would love to work alongside you on that journey!
