Remote Programming

IdealFit PT has a new offering that we are so very excited about.

A few clients are already taking advantage of  remote programming and are loving it. So here is everything you need to know about it!

What is remote programming?

Remote programming is a form of training or rehab that allows you to carry out the personalized program written by your therapist from your home or gym. There is a lot of communication involved and the plan is adjusted based on feedback from you. This allows you to work on specific weaknesses without needing to come into the office, but still allows touch points throughout the week with your therapist. In fact, you get 3-4x the interactions with your therapist.

Who is it for?

Remote programming is for anyone! Though I do love working in person in the office or at the gym, remote programming is a very useful option for those whose schedules don’t easily allow for that. The necessary exercises are listed for you in an app with videos and instructions for how many sets and reps, and we adjust as your body responds.

Remote programming can also be transitioned into after we’ve moved through the initial acute phase of healing when fewer “hands on” treatments are needed. At this point we would be able to program the exercises for you to do from your home or gym.

If you are looking to stay on top of  your game and keep injury away, accessory work can be programmed to address any mobility or strength issues you have that haven’t  presented as pain just yet. In this case, we’d do a thorough in person evaluation and use this information to build and progress a program just for you!

Do I still get to talk to my PT?

Yes of course! Daily! I encourage you to leave notes in your program every day you perform to let us know how everything felt. The more detail the better. If problems or pain arise, we address those issues together.

If you have more questions about remote programming, holler at me!
